Our journey began more than ten years ago when co-founders Jonathon Bouillir and Anne-Marie Emanuele opened their stand-up paddle and surf school on Phillip Island. Their combined vision and complementary expertise sparked an exciting venture, leading to the creation of Surf Trax™ in 2015.

The business rapidly gained popularity, with the local community and numerous visitors embracing Surf Trax™ for the dedication to quality service, genuine surfing roots, and the positive influence on many, and fostering the growth of the surf, SUP and windsurfing culture.

Today, this venture is far more than a surf school; it specialises in a wide array of new and used surfboards and accessories at its Cowes factory on Phillip Island. In 2024, Surf Trax™ embarked on creating its own line of merchandise, which continues to evolve. The new brand adopts a minimalist style, featuring high-quality, subtle, and versatile pieces that are designed to enhance any outfit effortlessly.

There's also an exciting development underway with a new line of Surf Trax™ glass surfboards in the pipeline, and they can't wait to reveal more details in the upcoming months.

  • FOUNDER

    Originally from New Zealand, Jonathon, known to many as Jono, moved to Australia in his youth to pursue his passion for surfing and wave sailing. He has spent his life sharing his love for the ocean with others. Throughout his career, he has worked in numerous locations across Australia and New Zealand, offering a diverse range of sporting activities to his clients. His vibrant and engaging personality enhances every lesson, ensuring that each student has a truly memorable experience.

    With a rich background of over 30 years in surf instruction, Jono has made his mark as a competitor in wave sailing at a high level. Additionally, he has contributed his expertise as a coach for the Melbourne Storm School Development Program. Prior to his journey into the surf world, he was a Paratrooper with the 3rd Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment.

    Beyond his work at Surf Trax™, Jono dedicates his time to collecting motorbikes, embracing the excitement of recreational riding on and off the road. His lifelong interests also include playing rugby and participating in martial arts.

  • CO-FOUNDER

    With a solid foundation in marketing and event management, Anne-Marie has developed a comprehensive skill set in business and strategy. Her passion for fitness and business management fuels her ambition to create new strategies that improve customer experiences.

    She manages store operations and is committed to developing business strategies that deliver excellent service to Surf Trax™ customers. Her responsibilities also include video editing, website development, and the production of Surf Trax™ merchandise.

    Anne-Marie enjoys her free time by stand-up paddle boarding, taking the jet ski out for a spin, and long distance running.
